My Computer is Out of Date

At a time when technology permeates every facet of our daily existence, it also presents a rapidly growing opportunity for corporate profit. Much of the technology we consume has a starkingly short lifespan before succumbing to planned obsolescence. This relentless cycle has led to a nearly doubled volume of discarded tech waste in the past decade alone. Driven by a desire to confront this issue, I have been collecting and dismantling this discarded tech waste. I have tried to reimagine these fragments, constructing still lifes that serve as symbolic attempts to breathe new life into these discarded components. My work is a call to action, aimed at raising awareness and encouraging collective responsibility while also holding corporations accountable.
